"Invariant visual representation by single neurons in the human brain" Human single-unitでface neuronの応答でidentityに基づいたinvariance codingがある、というもの。F1000でJohn Kalaska / Kevan A. Martin / Mayank Mehta / Aina Puceの4人がセレクト。Invarianceをニューロン応答の選択性で議論するというのはなかなか難しいことなわけです。というのもそれはinvarianceではなくてlack of selectivityとも言えるわけだから。そのへんどう扱っているか読んでおく必要あり。もっともこの論文の最大のインパクトは前回のNature論文と同様に、humanのsingle unitであるということのなのだからそんなに期待できないけど。

これってNature '03 "Glutamate-receptor-mediated encoding and retrieval of paired-associate learning" M. Day, R. Langston and R. G. M. Morrisとなにがちがうんでしょうか。つまり、One-Trial Place Memoryとwhat−where paired-associates learningの違いという訳なんですが。

このgrid cellってものすごいインパクトでかいけど、なんかすごくartifact臭を感じないすか。ま、読んでないんでなんなのですが。
